Strategic Investment in Sustainability: Tsinghua University's Financial Commitment to Green Initiatives

In the actions and results of sustainable finance, Tsinghua University has not released much concrete and detailed data, and has not disclosed specific report data. But in the budget statement, you can find the university's total investments in various projects, such as environmental pollution, green transportation, rural revitalization and school infrastructure.

Project fund

According to Tsinghua University 2023 departmental budget (Chinese version only), the total annual funding for environmental pollution projects is 2.225 million yuan.

The total annual funding for green transportation is 4 million yuan.

25,000 yuan was invested in the special education of rural revitalization.

In the infrastructure renovation project, the total annual fund is 103.944 million yuan, and the contribution to the construction of green campus is, significantly improved.

Although Tsinghua University has not publicly released comprehensive data and detailed reports on its sustainable development financing plan, the information provided in its budget report shows that Tsinghua University has invested a lot of money in various sustainable development projects. From these examples, we can see that Tsinghua University has invested a lot of financial support in supporting financial investments such as sustainable development projects and environmental protection products, as well as policy investments set up to encourage sustainable economic development. However, compared with other projects, the investment in rural revitalization is relatively small.

The 2023 Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted by the 193 Member States of the United Nations (UN) in September 2015.
